Betrayal

** Goldenmoth looked over her shoulder. Swirlstride was coming.
"Starclan said you would come." she whispered as he approached. She rubbed her muzzle into his cheek. "They told me you loved me more then anything, and that you knew it was my sister who attacked me."
"Did... did they tell you anything else?" he stammered awkwardly, "Anything else about who your sister really is?"
She tilted her head to one side. "No? What do you mean?"
He took a deep breath. He had to tell her his horrible lie. "Remember the day before we became 'paws?" he asked, hushed. "Remember how I told you about my dream?"
"Yeah", she kicked a stone, "What about it?"
"I didn't have that dream." he whispered, his voice clouded with regret and shame. "Your sister claimed she did... Starlingfeather lied. She didn't even have a dream from Starclan. She just wanted to get you out of the picture, so she could be with me."
Goldenmoth started at him, eyes watering. "She ruined my life..." she unsheathed her claws and Swirlstrike backed away. "No, don't worry. I'm not mad at you." she whispered. "It's her blood I want. I'm going to be a warrior. I'm going to speak to Starclan..." She murmured when he tried to follow her, then she sighed. "Come with me." she said. Then they stalked off together for MoonTree. **
